This method creates a projection group based on the attributes of selected containers. XPS determines the Stow Factors for the selected containers and creates a group of projected containers that matches in type and number. If the selected containers have different Stow Factors, XPS creates a projection group for each Stow Factor. This way, the projected containers have the same Stow Factor as the actual containers. This is valuable because N4 requires that the Stow Factor of planned containers match the Stow Factor of projected containers.
XPS generates the projections as expected, if you have created the Stow Factor Filter by defining the Equipment Type as a direct value or wildcard patterned value (example, 2% and not as %) or by defining the Equipment Class as an Auto Stow Factor Element.
If you do not provide a weight value for the projection group of the selected containers, then XPS displays an error message and does not allow to create a projection group based on the stow factor.
To generate projections to match selected containers:
In a scan view or a container list, select the relevant containers).
From the Vessel menu, select Projections.
In the Projections window, from the Actions drop-down list, select Generate Projections to match selection.
The projections in the Projections window update accordingly.
